What our parents & students say!

  • Adi Huebert:
Spirit of Math has been an excellent program, not just for my two children, but for the family.  It does take dedication and commitment because of the work involved, but the rewards are worth it.  The children do as much as possible on their own, and work together with my husband and I to complete the remainder.  I find myself learning alongside them and have improved my own skills.
I want my kids to learn mathematics because it is a useful life skill, however Spirit of Math is more than just learning math.  The kids are learning crucial study skills from an early age, as they are expected to write tests and examinations, and complete their homework in a neat, tidy and timely fashion.  They are learning public speaking skills as they have to present projects in front of their class, and must do group work.   I feel that this encourages and promotes working with others to solve problems which translates to important skill sets for their future endeavours.  I'm sure we know many adults who are unable to work as a team!
The kids have received excellent math grades in their daytime school and we will continue with the program indefinitely.

  • K. Pulis: “Spirit of Math picks up where the school system leaves off. It is a vigorous program, but my daughter has been attending since she was in grade 2. The program has shown me that most kids are not only capable of doing math at a higher level but excited to learn math at a level that meets their capacity. I am very grateful that a program like this exists because I feel reassured that my daughter is getting the best math education possible, without any struggle on my part to teach her! Thank you, Spirit of Math!” ~ K. P., parent of grade 5 student

  • N. Carroll: “Spirit of Math has been an amazing learning opportunity for my kids. The hard work, team approach and problem solving skills will stand them in good stead into the future. We recommend SMS to anyone that wants an effective and fun learning environment for families that are willing to invest their time and energy.” ~ N. C., parent of grade 2 & 6 students

  • Anonymous: “I like Spirit of Math because I learn a lot. It makes the math work I do at school seem easy. I also really like doing well on the math competitions like the Thales, Byron-Germain, and this year it will be Fibonacci. I also really like the teachers here!” ~ Grade 5 student
