Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome back to another fantastic year at Spirit of Math! I am very excited to be a part of the Spirit of Math team and look forward to meeting the parents and students at Joan of Arc. Spirit of Math is unlike any other program I have encountered and it is a program that was truly created for high achieving students. We believe that the key difference between Spirit of Math and other programs is our four elements consisting of drill (building fluency and automaticity), core curriculum (skills, knowledge and concepts), problem solving (reasoning, logical thinking and imagination), and collaborative group work. This ensures that students properly learn and practice skills, develop an in-depth understanding of the material and have an opportunity to apply their understanding, skills and imagination to solving problems while learning with others.
Here, at Spirit of Math, we create a positive learning environment which will stimulate and inspire students. Our teachers are very dedicated to challenging students and giving them every opportunity to succeed. My goal this year is to provide support to teachers, parents, and students for a seamless transition.
I look forward to meeting all our returning students and welcoming new students to the Joan of Arc Campus.
