Dear Parents and Guardians,

Another wonderful school year in Calgary is here and we are excited to offer classes from Grades 1 to 8 at our three locations in the North, South, and West ends of our city.

On behalf of our staff at Spirit of Math Calgary Campuses, I enthusiastically welcome each of you, new and returning students along with your parents, to another challenging and rewarding year! We look forward to building a stronger and more meaningful relationship with the families as we help our students learn and grow at Spirit of Math.

“To promote cooperation, inspire confidence and release the genius in every child” is our mission statement and our vision is “To be the global standard of excellence in mathematics education”

At Spirit of Math, our students are high-performing, highly motivated, and they enjoy challenges! Our hard-working and very dedicated teachers are all uniquely trained and equipped to provide the best learning environment for the students. Learning becomes powerful and engaging with the combined efforts of Spirit of Math students, parents, teachers and staff. Together, we work in inspiring the students to continually strive for excellence. I look forward to a year full of successes here at Spirit of Math, at your various day schools, and at national and international math competitions.

Please come visit one of our locations to meet the wonderful members of our Spirit of Math community. Feel free at any time to talk to me directly if you require assistance or have questions.

Kind Regards,
Bertrand Sodjahin

What our parents & students say!

  • Renata: “Spirit of Math improved not only Mark's mathematical skills but his general knowledge as well; it boosted his self confidence so he got better marks in all subjects at school. We have seen tremendous progress in the last few years and we are really proud of him.” ~ Renata T., parent of Mark, grade 4
  • Simona: “After being in Spirit of Math for 6 months, my six-year-old son wants to become a mathematician. Spirit of Math is way more than just another “after‐school” program; it nurtures creative thinking and life problem solving skills. The students thrive in a very stimulating learning environment lead by competent teachers, competitive peers that work together and teach each other mathematical concepts. We are very excited to be a part of the Spirit of Math family and recommend this program to everyone that would like their child to experience the love of learning.” ~ Simona M., parent of George., grade 1
  • Numidia:I am thrilled that we have found an enrichment based math program that makes learning so enjoyable. I love the balance of drills, problem solving, group work, math projects, exams and contests. This program has helped to instil a love for math for Julien and has given him the opportunity to really challenge himself. He is learning math concepts way above his grade level and I am astonished that he is able to grasp them so quickly and run with it. I would highly recommend this program to a family looking to build confidence and critical math thinking skills for their child.” ~ Numidia B., parent of Julien, grade 5
  • llinca: “Spirit of Math is awesome! I have learned new concepts and my grades have improved significantly.  I am very curious to learn more. Three weeks ago, I was given a budget to buy myself a treat and I bought two books, one for math and one for science.” ~ llinca A., grade 8 student
