MARCIA DAWES
Grade 1

With proud roots from Jamaica and the East End of London, England - Marcia came to Canada in early 1990's with a wealth of experience in conveyancing and litigation law. She gained her Bachelor of Education through the University of Manitoba, majoring mathematics.

Marcia is the happy recipient of the prestigious national Award for Excellence via the Seventh Day Adventist Church School of Canada. She is committed and devoted to church activities, and is an active Board member both locally and at the conference level. She loves music and is a regular patron of the Winnipeg Symphony.

Although she would confess that her love of mathematics propels her passion for teaching; it's really her precious charges and incredible gift of unique communication methods that reach deep within the children and draw their skills and abilities to the fore.
