Violet was born in Russia, lived in Israel and moved to Canada in her teens. She earned an honours Bachelor in Biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario and her teaching degree from the University of Ottawa. Before coming to Spirit of Math, Violet worked in various classroom settings for two years, teaching mostly Math and Science to grades 5 through 12. She is passionate about teaching and excited to pursue her career at Spirit of Math.

In addition to teaching, Violet is an advocate for children in poverty, and enjoys getting involved in the community. She also enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.
