MAUREEN MCGLAUGHLIN
Grades 1 and 2

Maureen is thrilled to be joining Spirit of Math this year, teaching grades 1 and 2. She grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and started her Bachelor of Education at University of Manitoba. After moving to New Jersey, she graduated summa cum laude from William Paterson University with a degree in Mathematics and Education and her certification from the New Jersey Board of Education. Maureen went on to complete her Master of Science in Mathematics at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, while working as a teaching assistant. She was a doctoral student at Stevens and taught there for several years as well.

She is a busy mom to three lively and intelligent boys and enjoys skiing and camping with her family. Besides her passion for mathematics, Maureen also enjoys reading, gardening, and watching her sons participate in Tae Kwon Do, swimming, soccer, and hockey.
