Jordan was born and raised in Toronto. After representing Canada in the 2003 International Chemistry Olympiad, he went on to study at Yale, graduating in 2007 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Since that time he has been tutoring math and science at the high school and university levels.

Outside of the academic realm, Jordan is passionate about athletics, having rowed for 7 years through high school and university. He is an avid bridge player and a member of the University of Toronto Triathlon Club as well as Outdoors Club. He completed his first marathon in 2007 and triathlon in 2008, and loves all sports, especially Ultimate Frisbee.
